iOS 5.1 tethered jailbreak for iPhones

iOS 5.1 can be done tethered jailbreak by sn0wbreeze v2.9.2. Tethered jailbreak means you need your pc to turn on your iphone device manually by redsn0w "Justboot" or sn0wbreeze. Untethered jailbreak means you don't need to manually turn on your device using computer and jailbreaking software. 3GS old boot room supports untethered jailbreak on iOS 5.1 but new bootrom and iphone 4/S don't support untethered .

thing you need to conduct jailbreak:
-iOS 5.1.ipsw file
-sn0wbreeze v2.9.2
-itune 10.5 and above
-redsn0w 0.9.10b6

download all above files from goggling or links I have uploaded on the list of previous post title.

Steps:

1. Run sn0wbreeze and browse iOS5.1.ipsw from location you have downloaded. and click next

2. Click on General and select Hacktivation then click next and click on Make IPSW then click next to make custom firmware.

3. After finish making custom IPSW firmware turn your device into DFUmode.

4. Open iTune and press Sift key from keyboard and click on Restore button select the custom made IPSW file(by default it would be located on desktop)  click "OK" follow the instruction.

After finishing your restore you will see Apple logo and progress bar under it on your iPhone device. Now you need redsn0w to turn your device on.

5. Go and open redsn0w and turn your device into DFU mode then go to jailbreak and click on "Just boot" and follow the instruction.

If you find Pineapple Logo  then it works and going to turn you device completely on. Then follow some instructions.
